NMU LEADERSHIP HONORED DEFENDERS OF THE FATHERLAND

October 13, 2021 on the eve of the Day of Defender of Ukraine, which is celebrated at the state level annually on October 14, the leadership and staff of NMU – Rector, Corresponding Member of NAMS of Ukraine, Professor Yu.L. Kuchyn, the first vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and postgraduate education, corresponding member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, professor О.М. Naumenko, vice-rector for scientific-pedagogical and medical work, professor OA Kanyura, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Professor SV Zemskov, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical and educational work, professor OM Vlasenko, Chairman of the Trade Union of Employees, Professor LM Yaremenko, Dean of the FPL of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel of the Medical Service, Professor ND Kozak, Dean of the Medical Faculty №2, Associate Professor RS Tsymbalyuk, Dean of the Medical and Psychological Faculty MM Filonenko, ATO / OOS veteran, Deputy Rector for Personnel IM Drapey, – laid flowers to the memorial plaque installed on the building of the administrative building of the University, third-year medical student №3 Volodymyr Yurychko, who gave his young life defending Ukraine, the Memorial to students and teachers of the University who died during World War II and of the stele to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.

The flower-laying ceremony was attended by students and staff of NMU, ATO / OOS veterans, in particular: 2nd year medical student №4 Alexander Tulchy, 2nd year medical student №3 Ruslan Demin, 6th year medical student № 3 Ahmad Juma, Associate Professor of Orthopedic Dentistry Svyatoslav Prokhorov, Assistant Professor of Surgical Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery Roman Shevchuk, Assistant Professor of Surgery with a course of emergency and vascular surgery Mykola Korotya, dental technician SMC Serhiy.

In his speech, Rector Yu.L. Kuchin noted that today we bow our heads before the bright memory of the fallen defenders of our Motherland and express our sincere gratitude to the veterans who prove with their civic position that NMU educates not only wonderful doctors, but also true patriots of their Motherland.

On behalf of the veterans, Oleksandr Tulchyi, a second-year student of the Medical Faculty № 4, thanked for the attention, support and care for the ATO / OOS veterans, which they constantly feel from the NMU leadership.
